New Project to Boost Economic Opportunities for Immigrant Women

The Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) has been given over $200,000 by the federal government for a 36-month project to bolster the economic opportunities of immigrant women working in Calgary’s food industry. The scheme will improve their access to services such as childcare, training, and mentoring, and will also facilitate cooperation among women, businesses, and service providers.
